is the most popular piggyback tuning device in Europe and has now hit U.S. shores. Despite its small size, the DET3 is an extremely capable piggyback tuning device. The DET3 allows for the removal of the airflow meter on most applications, and ignition timing can be monitored and adjusted via 16x16 tables. The parametric output channels can be configured to control  boost with the use of a boost control solenoid, nitrous activation, water or methanol injection control, etc. Launch control and map switching are also among the advanced features available to the end user. In "Fuel Implant" mode, the DET3 operates much like a standalone ECU, calculating fuel requirements based on RPM, IAT, CLT, TPS and even O2 feedback, and can drive up to 4 injectors directly (in normal installations the injectors are not controlled directly, so the DET3 can be used with any number of injectors, you are not limited to 4). The DET3 is a comprehensive piggyback device and is available with a 4 bar MAP sensor for $420

WHP wideband knock sensor kits are designed to take advantage of the sophisticated knock detection circuits in many modern ECUs, such as the ECUMaster EMU. The knock processing chip in the EMU is designed to take advantage of wideband, or flat response, knock sensors. Until recent years, most knock sensors were designed to generate an output voltage only around a preset frequency based on engine characteristics, limiting the need for signal processing. The drawbacks of such sensors were their inability to separate knock from noise. With modern signal processing, wideband sensors can be used, allowing the EMU to process the signal in its full range and look only for sounds that actually represent knock. The EMU is also able to filter the signal by crank degrees so that it only monitors the sensors at engine positions where knock is likely to occur. The use of WHP wideband knock sensors allows for greater sensitivity to knock and greater control of the engine, allowing the tuner to maximize power output with the confidence that the EMU will employ engine protection strategies when knock is detected.

Each kit includes a new genuine Bosch knock sensor with 12 month warranty, titanium mounting stud, retaining nut, and electrical connector with terminals and seals.

Flat response knock sensors can be used on any engine, but please verify the thread size/pitch before ordering. This kit includes an M12x1.25 stud which fits Toyota JZ engines and others.

WHP boost control solenoid kits can be used with either the EMU standalone engine control unit or the DET3 piggyback engine control unit.

WHP boost control solenoid kits are based around a genuine MAC valve built to custom WHP specifications for use in an automotive environment. The valve is mounted to a laser cut and CNC bent aluminum bracket, and comes with a vibration-isolating rubber mount with metric threads. Brass fittings and a breather are included, as well as a motorsports grade waterproof 2 pin connector, and a packet of Loctite brand thread sealant. WHP has put together the most comprehensive boost control solenoid kit on the market.

With the WHP boost control solenoid kit, all of the EMU and DET3's advanced boost control features can be utilized. The EMU features boost per gear or speed, throttle position dependent boost control, advanced closed-loop boost control utilizing a PID strategy, and blending of boost control tables when using the Flex Fuel feature. The DET3 offers switchable boost levels, and vehicle speed dependent boost control.

WHP Flex Fuel Sensor Kits are designed for use with aftermarket ECUs capable of reading an ethanol content sensor. The use of a WHP Flex Fuel Sensor with the ECUMaster EMU allows for blending of fuel, ignition, engine start, and boost control tables. WHP Flex Fuel Sensor Kits are built around the most accurate ethanol content sensor on the market, capable of providing the ECU with an ethanol content and fuel temperature reading within a quarter of a second of start-up. Each kit includes the ethanol content sensor, a laser cut, CNC bent, and powdercoated mounting bracket, metric mounting hardware, and a connector with 8 foot harness. Installation is straightforward; just install the sensor in the fuel feed or return line and connect three wires to switched 12 volts, ECU ground, and the output signal wire to the "cam sync 2" pin on the EMU. Care should be taken not to exceed the maximum flow rate of the sensor of 400 liters per hour, which may cause signal instability. In some applications, a bypass loop will need to be incorporated into the feed or return line to accommodate the ethanol content sensor. This sensor comes with -6 AN fittings in a durable black anodized finish for easy integration into a fuel system utilizing AN style hose.

WHP Flex Fuel Sensor Kits are designed for use with aftermarket ECUs capable of reading an ethanol content sensor. The use of a WHP Flex Fuel Sensor with the ECUMaster EMU allows for blending of fuel, ignition, engine start, and boost control tables. WHP Flex Fuel Sensor Kits are built around the most accurate ethanol content sensor on the market, capable of providing the ECU with an ethanol content and fuel temperature reading within a quarter of a second of start-up. Each kit includes the ethanol content sensor, a laser cut, CNC bent, and powdercoated mounting bracket, metric mounting hardware, and a connector with 8 foot harness. Installation is straightforward; just install the sensor in the fuel feed or return line and connect three wires to switched 12 volts, ECU ground, and the output signal wire to the "cam sync 2" pin on the EMU. Care should be taken not to exceed the maximum flow rate of the sensor of 400 liters per hour, which may cause signal instability. In some applications, a bypass loop will need to be incorporated into the feed or return line to accommodate the ethanol content sensor.
